RE: [Chrysler300] 300-F Special at Russo Steele

I am on (US) Sports Car Market email list and on latest email out, they have a link to Arizona local news website - sort of brief mention there of two tents being torn up/away, main auction tent however still intact, and that car owners (then) not yet allowed back in to check their cars.

Hopefully the tents went mainly up and away quickly, and cars mainly untouched?!

I then went to 'Russo and Steele Auction 2010 January' webpage, and viewed their (near first place) listing entry re the 300F, and forgive my ignorance, but shot of engine bay shows cross ram setup that to my '300F untrained eye' looks about same as normal long ram 300Fs?! - did the short rams look same on outside, and/or how did the short ram work if it looks same? Are they just 15 inches short on inside, or is shot used re auction wrong, as the rams there look way longer than 15inches short rams are said to be?

Christopher Australia - nice and cooler outside tonight now after 105 degrees yesterday, here in middle lower Australia

Hello Everyone,
I just heard from a couple of friends that 2 tents at the Russo Steele auction in Scottsdale were blown down yesterday by the weather. One of the tents even ended up on highway 101. These tents housed the cars up for auction and many of the cars were damaged. I was just wondering if anyone knows if the 300-F Special is okay that was going through that auction? Chances are it was in one of those tents. I hope all is well. Just thought I would check and see if anyone knew anything.
300ly,
Josh Mishler
