[Chrysler300] Lefty listens...Learn From Him

Larry:
I received the compendium of Hey Lefties and have just completed reading
them. Thanks for reissuing these blasts from the past. It was great to
read that there is nothing new under the sun as you issued guidance to the
300 masses on issues technical, economic, emotional and non-sensical. I was
pleased to learn that the Lefty moniker was geographically based, not
political.
I'd like to suggest to club management that they consider reprinting old Hey
Lefties in our current journals and/or online. Like most car journals, they
could use a little spicing up.
I would share with others the source of the '57 300C color Gaugin Red:
http://tinyurl.com/ygrs4wx A splash of color in the lower RH corner is
certainly the source of the tint chosen in 1956 by the Chrysler Design Group
as you pointed out. I'm not sure whether it is the Moon's knickers or a
lava flow--but there it is. Visitors to the site are encouraged to click on
the sound track which explains the picture and Gaugin's raison d'être for
his Tahiti trip.
Would it not be cool to have these sound bites under some of the pictures at
our website?
Thanks again for making the 300 trip more fascinating, enlightening and fun.
C-300'ly,
Rich Barber

Subject: [Chrysler300] The President requesta a "Simulus Package" and Lefty
listens...
Available now, free for the asking, is a SIMULATED PACKAGE of all 20 of
those wonderful "Hey Lefty" columns from the Chrysler 300 Club News, dated
Winter of 1997 through Winter of 2002. Thrill again to the wacky advice
and
the accurate reportage so now missing from newspapers. Reproduced by an
actual Xerox office machine on superb Staples Economy Grade bond and
attached
with maximum strength Office Max staple, there are minutes of chuckles and
guffaws awaiting.
New to the Club after 2002?
This should be a mandatory read. Meet Tim Buck II and other Club
luminaries spotlighted in the series. Not available in stores but hand
delivered
to you by a courier of the USPS. You have but to e-mail:
_JettRanch@xxxxxxxx (mailto:JettRanch@xxxxxxx) to request. Include the
mailing address you wish used as Lefty rushes your order to you. Do not
send any request to the List Server but directly to the e-mail address
mentioned.
Fine Print: The 'President' mentioned in the salutation is the President
of Redwood Lease Co, an automobile company which expired too early for one
of those Stimulus Package bailouts. Rats! As in engine ignition, timing
is everything!!
