There was a time when aftermarket replacement Chrysler alternators came with a short adaptor pigtail. The trick was to connect the single regulator wire to one connection on the isolated field alternator and ground the other to the alternator case using the supplied jumper.
Best solution I think is to buy a solid state isolated field regulator and pigtail and make the necessary wiring and regulator mounting modifications.

I want to put a high amp 71 altenator on my 69 (300). Does anyone know what to do with the rewire problem of one pole 2 wires issue.
