Ämne: John Hertog in memory....
I have not said one word about John’s passing one year ago.
It’s now time for me to put out some words about my dear, dear friend
John H.
One year ago the message come over the list by Pete F. that many of us
hoped
we would never see… - John Hertogs body could not take any more –
Our friend John was not with us anymore, at least not on this planet…
I knew he was sick but I never expected that outcome. It was a shock and
I still
feel that I’m in a sort of shock.
I’m sure that many more than me very often have John in mind and
thinking about
the great loss we all had one year ago…
I have read, I think, all inputs about John and it sure looks like he
made everybody
feeling just like I felt, that I was special to him…
John WAS the 300-club for many of us Swedes, always there with a fast
answer to
almost every question I may have, always a helping hand when needed. All
our E-mails
was very friendly but always with a special tone that friends use. He
loved my car and
the look of it. He was the one who named me “The craaazy Swede”…..
We always talked about meeting sometime and summer 2007 me and my
daughter was
out at Sag Harbor to meet John and Helen. He had invited us to use he’s
mom’s house
if we wanted but we only had one day to spend out there but that was the
kind of person he was,
always offering his help and hospitality to someone he never even met…
Just a great guy!!!!
Bad phone lines and other stuff did that we didn’t meet that day, I was
in his garden and took
a pic of me and his car but we didn’t meet. Let’s take it next year we
both said…..
We always start our New Years greetings with “ This may be the year we
meet”
We never met my friend but I’m sure we do in next life… Probably in
G-heaven…
Rest in peace my dear, dear friend; YOU are deeply, deeply missed…..

YOU liked it….
