For those interested, there would be some deduction for vinyl  replacing 
what was originally a painted area  on a 300C (or  any) wheel cover.

appliqués  has been resolved.   George Berg had them made for himself some  
years ago using 3M vinyl and his widow, Madeline has verified  this.   They were 
not factory installed.

If such an item were  made up today as an alternative to repainting the 
wheel cover center  depression and offered to the membership would it pass 
muster during concours  judging?   Your head judge can comment on that.   Such  
decisions are above my pay scale.
