Gary,
Ya, good point. Since my H doesn't have the rams, I never paid much attention to the space needed for the auto pilot unit. I'm sure somebody else can help out with this one.

Mark Soulders,
I totally agree with your description of the dash pod controls. However, it has me wondering if Auto Pilot was even offered on the F or G? It doesn’t seem like there would be enough room under the hood with the long rams AND the auto pilot unit.

Mark,
If it's under the ignition switch, it was probably the floor air control knob, if your car has or had AC. If it's under the volume knob, it could have been the cruise control knob. Or maybe someone just poked a hole and installed the manual choke. If you remove the bezel and find a nicely punched hole, it was probably put there by the factory, but if the hole looks like it was made with a drill or a hacksaw, it's probably home grown.

Subject: [Chrysler300] Pod Question
My G came with a chrome dash pod placed under the volume control knob.
Somewhere along the way this pod was converted from its original use to
a manual choke. Can anyone tell me what the pod at this position was
supposed to hold?
Thanks
