[Chrysler300] Texas drag race 300B pair

This is a total  L O N G  S H O T  ..........

Does anyone around these parts recall anything about a possible pair of '56 Chrysler 300Bs  one of which was black and one of which was white that were owned and or driven and drag raced  by either Wendel Hawkins  or  Calvin Pickard  in the Houston and San Antonio, Texas areas in the '56 through about '59 or perhaps 1960 era.  The cars may have been raced together and known as "Salt and Pepper".   At least it is thought they were drag raced.  Perhaps there was a road race course.  Old Martindale Army Air Force Base near San Antonio is thought to have been used for both.

Anyone?  Anything?
