Spring has sprung in California with a Good Guys get together scheduled for
March 28-29 in nearby Pleasanton. http://tinyurl.com/avo9fp Spring will
get to your place eventually. Show the flag but don't waste too much time
figuring out where to put those CD discs in your letter car's hi-fi.
The WPC Club advises they may establish a Chrysler 300 Class if they have
enough registrants at their July 21-25 national meet in Sacramento.

The Chrysler 300 Club, Inc. national meet is scheduled for August 26-30 in
Tacoma.

I hope to see you and your 300 at one or more of these meets and hope to
wend my way back to the Chrysler 300 Club International, Inc. national meet
in Branson, MO Sept 23-26. Best wishes for a successful meet in Lancaster,
PA May 13-16. http://www.chrysler300club.com/events.htm

Spring Cleaning
It's that time again! Time to get your classic car out of the garage and on
the road.
Do you have a car show you have always wanted to bring your car to or maybe
a great classic car cruise? Well don't hesitate. The next warm and sunny
weekend get that car out, dust it off and rev the motor ..its time!
The following are some tips that the staff at Precision Restorations have
put together to help with the delicate transition from auto-hibernation to
auto-rejuvenation.
Shake the dust:
. Wash the accumulated dust from the car. Don't wipe down with a dry
cloth or spray cleaner. Over a short time the clear coat will develop micro
scratches that will dull the finish. Use a light soap and water mix and
clean cloths to wash the car.
. Use a natural chamois to dry the car. This safely removes water and
eliminates the water marks.
. Use a light soap and water mix on the interior. Spray cleaners leave
residue and are not required for a good initial cleaning.
Road ready:
. Bring the vehicle to a local shop for an oil change, fluid check and
proper tire inspection. You may be able to do this yourself, however once a
year it is a good idea to have your local mechanic give the car a thorough
check and test drive.
. Fresh fuel is always important when you get back on the road. First
stop should be the gas station to fuel up.
. New tunes. This is a good time re-load the CD changer or drop some
new discs in the glove box.
. For the first long drive of the year consider the local park. This
is a great way to get the car out and about and allow others to enjoy seeing
the classics come out of hibernation. This will let everyone know spring is
here!
Show off:
. If you are showing your car off at a show bring a couple of extra
folding lawn chairs. You never know who may stop by to visit.
. Get the camera out and snap a few pictures at the car show. Take
some pictures of the car about town or with the kids or grandkids in the
front seat. Having these pictures displayed for people to enjoy at the show
will be welcomed and will definitely lead to some great conversations.
. Have some refreshments available for friends that stop by. Cool
bottled water and heart healthy snacks are a good alternative to cold hot
dogs and warm soda.
. Keep a hat and some sunscreen ready for those intense days at the
car show.
