Dave,

That may be because you have not had the pleasure of living in the Garden State.  New Jersey may have the refineries along the NJ Turnpike, but it also has beautiful farmland, renowned sandy beaches, and rolling hillsides.  And with all that, we are close the cultural centers of New York City and Philadelphia.  No real extremes of weather either.  Rare to have a tornado, earthquake, or the really harsh effects of hurricanes.  Just the pleasant four seasons.

Makes you want to move here, right?
