[Chrysler300] Too MUCH oil pressure?

Dearly beloveds....on the recent high-speed run to SOCAL and back in the F,
a brand new phenomenon
took place. For 21 years I have been using 10-30 oil of different brands
but due to the recent threads concerning lack of zinc, I switched to Shell
Rotella, a truck diesel oil of the 15-40 persuasion. For a year I have driven
the car around town with this oil seldom at highway speeds, but this trip was
all highway and up to 90 mph. I soon noticed that the oil needle was outside
its "staple" which indicated acceptable pressure, low and high. It was
consistently as much as a quarter inch above the "staple".
What is the danger here?
