This is exactly what Jeff said.  I ordered the Imperial Service cable
yesterday and I will see if it works.

Hi group

I got a tack cable from Imperial a few years ago for my F and could not 
use it. The difference is my old cable at the tach end had what I would 
call a "deep well" connector and what I got was not. It would not 
thread onto the tach.
