RE: [Chrysler300] 300G mirrors

I've seen both kinds randomly in surviving G's across the production run. I believe it's a case of two different suppliers, rather than a midyear change.

I have an early production (10-12-60) G convert, and mid year (3-16-61)

coupe here that both have the dash mirror with the Day/Night etched in the

glass and the little toggle. I'm fairly certain both are original.

Hi all,

Was hoping to get some input on a question

involving 300G interior rear view mirrors.(not mirrormatic)

Mine has the "night" and "day" etched into the mirror itself

with a chrome toggle underneath that you flip back and forth

as does Don Verity. Don rook has noe or more without the

glass etching and a black plastic "tab" with two legs on which

night and day are are printed in white. Both Don and my cars

are fairly early on in production,( Dons earlier than mine).

Was there perhaps a mid year change in mirror styles??

Any input would be great, along with your guesstimate on where

your G may have been in the production timeline.

300'ly

David Shapiro
