I agree with McTaggart that the Chevy engine orange red is a virtually perfect match for the C and D brake cooling screens.   That full life garaged black C convertible with 26K miles that I had in California and appears in that old video was no-doubt-about-it Chevy engine orange and when I have disassembled others where weather and sun have not gotten to the edges, they are that color.
