To the Board of Directors:
 
I for one would like to see a standing memorial to John.  How about an annual 
John Hertog Award to be presented at the points judging meet to the 
individual in the club who has contributed most to the club the past year?  The 
recipient of this award would have a high bar to hurdle.  I'm sure the definition of 
the award can be better defined by someone who is superior at articulating 
than me.
 
Just a thought.
