No, that was Bob Eaton who "sold Chrysler down the river" to the Germans.
If memory serves, Bob Lutz left Chrysler earlier---more or less because of
him---and went to Exide Battery. We certainly needed Lutz as head of Chrysler
instead of Eaton. Bob Lutz was a Club member for a time, and attended the
Club meet in Coldwater (Sept. '94) with his wife, Denise. They arrived by
helicopter in what was one of the more auspicious events at a 300 Meet! I think
he still owns his C300.
I am sure others can add many more facts, but I wanted to correct the untrue
speculation that Lutz sold Chrysler out. Absolutly not!!! Eaton was the
one with the 2 or 3 Golden Parachutes.

However---I think Bob Lutz---as a major executive in a struggling
corporation regarded by many as a significant contributor to that warming---perhaps
could have articulated his opinions a little differently. Not any doubt about
where he stands, though!
300ly, Gil C.

There is no doubt that the world is changing, but I
think as humans we are crazy to think that we have
that much control over the earth and what it does.
There are a group of scientist that are advocating the
concept that when the earth revolves around the sun it
goes through different cycles. At first it revolves
very circular to the sun, but as time goes on, its
revolutions become more like ellipse. This is said to
also explain part of the reason the earth went through
an ice age. These scientist are saying that right now
we are in a close circular pattern with the sun, which
would explain some of the earths effects right now.
Well, I am sure that I just opened a can of worms, but
I thought I would through my 2 cents in.
