Re: [Chrysler300] RE: Chrysler 300 CD

Rich,
Sounds neat. Dave Coston's DVD was GOLD for our hobby. Tremendous effort and work for what I'm sure was a labor of love. I hope the 300 copies sold will cover the production costs. We are very fortunate to have Dave and his son to give us such a gift. Also, the Chrysler 300 Anthology CD was accurate regarding the D and E, I wasn't. The book I bought along with the CD, Standard Catalogue of 1950s Chrysler was inaccurate in that they referred to the '59 300 as a D instead of the E. Most likely a proof-reading error.....Helen Keller could tell you that the '59 was an E by just running her hand over the hood! 300'ly, ROB KERN

No indication of any future updates in the package, other than they have a
number of similar CD's of other marques. Looks like mass production of
  marginal quality.

Perhaps if a certain two clubs merged they could cooperate in the production
of a definitive coffee-table book with authoritative content, beautiful
photography, a CD or DVD with racing and interview footage???

  Rich,
I just received my "Chrysler 300 Anthology" CD which I purchased from
Amazon.com. I agree that there are some inaccuracies, especially when they
addressed the E as a D. Frankly I was disappointed in the production, the
videos were YouTube quality and there were some topics that weren't
completed yet...so will there be another follow-up one? 300'ly, ROB KERN

I just received and reviewed the Chrysler 300 "Anthology" CD and found it
  to
be an interesting collection of photos, ads and film clips. In an attempt
to fill out the package, some poorly researched information crept in--for
instance the colors for the '55 are shown as the generic Ditzler color
  chip
chart for all '55 Chryslers, as is the options list.

Hursts, '62- '71 Sports and '79 Cordoba 300's are not specifically
  included,
although there are pictures and ads of Sports in amongst the letter car
photos. Pacesetters, 99-04 M's and 05C's are included.

Nothing much new here, but for $25, what the heck. These beautiful beasts
always photograph well. If you're shopping for a letter car, the photos
  can
give you an idea of styling and some colors. I'd guess there are some
  members' cars in the mix.

Thanks for the leads, Gilles. I ordered out the CD and will provide a
report on it after receipt. Around $25 ppd and available through PayPal.
Similar CD's were available for other marques such as birds, goats,
  vettes,
classics, muscle & etc. Be sure to scroll down for a little preview.
