John,    Sorry it took so long to reply.Answering your questions in reverse order, the rear quarter overlaps the rocker panel. I used the 2nd weep hole on the underside of the rear quarter as a measuring point because that starting point gives the easiest and most accurate measurement. The leading edge of the rear quarter at the seam is exactly 7 inches from the front of the weep hole mentioned above. The seem is 1/8 in. wide. so that the front edge of the seam is 7 1/8 in. from the front edge of the weep hole. Hope this helps.  If you have any further questions, I'll do my best to answer.

Concerning my 300-D, my body guy is asking me about details of the rocker panel seam location that is under the trailing edge of the doors. I want that seam there such as the car was originally built.

There's not much evidence left of where it was - how far ahead of the vertical door jamb is the rocker panel seam located? Does the rear quarter overlap on top of the rocker (like the 63 & 64 models I'm familiar with) ?

I've scoured the Internet, and can't find a good close up shot of the seam. Can someone assist me in this area?
