Hi Bob, 

A spot cooler, in Victor's 300F case,  is the  chrome-faced assembly with
louvers that bolts to the underside of the dashboard, between the steering
shaft and driver's door pillar - kinda directly under the headlight switch
and w/wiper switch . It connects via a long flexible hose to the air
distribution box.

Could you share with the less informed of us as to what a spot cooler is?
Is this like a swamp cooler, that hangs on the side of the car from the
