Hi John,
He probably put the 300J in the ad just to attract some attention.
It's obviously not a J due to:
wrong engine, wrong emblems on side and trunk, chrome pieces above trunk.
It's probably a legitimate 300 sport series.

  There is a car on ebay that the seller states is a 300J but it carries the
  following vin: 8233210247

  I believe that is a Newport or straight non-letter 300 vin. Price is 12K or
  so seems great at first. Also, car has obvious replacement data tag.
