Hi  Stan,
 
If you have a good distributor, other than normal wear, replace the  internal 
bushings, (do-it-yourself or have any automotive machine shop do it for  you) 
then purchase and install the Pertronix ignition kit from club member John  
Lazenby (sorry, don't have his e-mail address handy, but in the club roster).  
Identify yourself as a Chrysler 300 club member for discount when you contact  
him.
 
I did the installation in my 300-C conv. Instant easy starting, more power  
and economy. And now for the best part!  The unit fits inside the  distributor, 
replaces the points and never wears, as there is no friction, and I  will 
NEVER have to crawl under the heater cowl to remove the distributor  again!
