I'd recommend Librand's Plating in Harrisburg, PA., not that far from 
NYC.     http://www.carchrome.com/

They use "old and brighter hex chrome".   Guarantees his work.  You can 
contact him through web site,  info@xxxxxxxxxxxx  ( address questions 
to Todd Librandi; he also likes Chryslers ) and send some digital pics 
for an estimate.  I have used him for 2 cars ('61 NY wagon and '56 NY. 
Conv.) and Tony Rinaldi (300F) .
