[Chrysler300] Torsion bars

Hi all,

 

Can someone tell me why the torsion bars on my '57 300C have crept forward
about an 1/8 of an inch on one side and nearly 1/4 on the other. They are
supposed to sit hard back against the internal spring clip in the rear
anchor..right? Does this mean the lower control arm bushings are worn?
