Re: Louis Barrie's comment on the possibility of a new Chrysler 300 convertible - My wife and I had just left the Taste of Chicago earlier this evening and were sitting at the fountain in Millenium Park looking over toward Michigan Avenue. I saw a new Chrysler 300 convertible driving south down Michigan Avenue, then stopped at a stoplight, albeit partially hidden by a taxi cab. The stock grille was replaced by a modified version that looked to have a tight honeycomb/mesh design - no hint of the standard wide crosshatch. I'm pretty sure the car was channeled and was just a 2-door - couldn't get a good look at the side view, however, because of the taxi. Definitely at least 2-3 feet shorter than a standard 300 sedan. Body color was a medium light metallic green - don't think it was stock; top appeared to be tan in color - folded down but exposed with no soft or hard boot. From the areas of the 300 that I could see, the car looked terrific! It may be out of some conversion shop that's doing these, or???
