[Chrysler300] 300 Lane at Imperial Ave.

I have a number of digital shots taken at the show and have sent Dave a copy
of the Polar Blue car shots and Louis copies of his car and lovely
navigator.  Roger's pix are next.  

Others interested in that shade and car may request same directly.  I'd be
glad to submit all these shots on a CD for posting on our club server, but
need guidance.  Some day I'll learn how to post them to my own website, but
not today.

Confirming the observations of others, the show was fantastic and it was
gratifying to see the traffic and interest in "300 Lane and "Imperial
Avenue".  I totally OD'd on Chrysler products.  Thanks to Larry Jett for the
good fight in gaining recognition and focus on Chryslers at this prestigious
show.  They reported the show raised $70,000 for Lions Club charities last
year.  General admission was $20/person.  Our C-300 ran great and only
warmed up slightly on the drive home in hot weather and slow freeway
traffic.

Feedback on the previously-reported overhaul of my Kelsey-Hayes power brake
booster:  It looks and works fine--although these brakes were not that great
when new, as I understand it.  I did pop for the gold zinc dunk, so it does
look a little gaudy back in its corner.  Power Brake Exchange in San Jose
charged a total of $297.69 for an overhaul and refinishing.  It would have
been more if the master cylinder bore needed sleeving.  Contact:  Michael

another shop in Bell Gardens, CA and work on current boosters as well as old
boosters from the '50's and '60's.  They did forget to install the bleeder
valve when they reassembled the unit--possibly because I rushed them by
arriving when the unit was supposed to be done to pick it up.  They have to
obtain numerous new parts, including the big rubber diaphragm in the unit in
order to rebuild it.  My old one looked like the original and it had a large
tear in it so it would not hold differential pressure--resulting in
two-feet-on-the-pedal brakes.

The Polar Blue that the car was painted (originally an XX1 black car) was a
few shades off to the darker side.
