Dan, I second Fern's comments on the Armor-all. That stuff will ruin your 
vinyl and leather in the long run. Saddle soap or leather conditioner work 
well to soften and keep soft all of your leather and dash pad etc.

As for the trim, there is a trim removal tool for the window trim and it's 
usually available at most large parts retailers. Expect to do some prying to 
release all of them.

The rest of the body trim is a bit tricky on the '65's. All of the upper 
stainless trim is held on by plastic fasteners and threaded fasteners with 
speed nuts on the backside. The plastic fasteners are all two piece 
deals......the main body (clip) is held in with a plastic pin that flares 
out the claws on the backside of the panel when punched into place. The 
biggest issue with removing the stainless trim is that you have to unbolt 
several nuts on the backside of the panels to allow removal of the trim from 
the plastic retainers. You will need to remove the door panels, the inner 
front fenderwells, and possibly the rear interior side panels to access all 
the nuts.

You can see what I mean by looking inside the trunk at the backside of the 
upper trim. The trim immediately below the door glass and rear side glass is 
the same scenario but with narrower clips.

The clips are not available to my knowledge. I've tried some aftermarket 
pieces that were close but didn't work. Here's what you need to do. If you 
can access the small pins holding the clips in place from the back 
side........punch the pins back up and out. Then depress the claws and 
remove the clip intact. Keep as many of these clips as you can and don't 
lose the pins.

The narrower upper clips can be more tricky as they can't really be accessed 
from the back as there is a small piece of channel immediately underneath 
them and they are on an angle. You can punch the pins right through but even 
this proves difficult on the upper ones. I had to actually drill out the 
pins in order to save the clips. If you ever come accross a parts car that 
still has the trim and clips in place, snag them! They're like gold to 
someone restoring one of these cars.
