[Chrysler300] Solid State Voltage Regulator

John, Do you still have your solid state voltage regulators for sale? I
need one for my new H. Also, thanks for the advice on the 63/64 brake
swap. I have located a 63 Newport for the parts and may make the change
unless I decide to go to disc brakes. I am also considering changing the
master cylinder to the dual chamber type. Anything to watch out for or
any advice on this change?

Hi Gary,
I don't have the answer as to what may be the cause, but I sure have a
solution. Get rid of those stupid brakes and replace them with a '63 or
'64
Chrysler Bendix setup (get them from any Newport, 300, NewYorker). It's
a
three-bolt bolt-on.
The 61 Newport as well as the 62 are Sort Wheelbase cars - same as any
63 or
64 Chryslers model. You just need to remove the entire spindle and
steering
arm assemblies and swap them.
I did this to my '61 Newport as well as to many other Short Wheelbase
Chryslers, the results are phenomenal, the car stops perfectly, straight
and
true, no more locking up, no more pulling, no more problems.

bad that they stop in traffic. He has taken them to brake shops in two

replaced
the linning ,hoses , and cylinders. Most of the time by backing up it
will
release and go untill the brakes are used again. He is ready to sell if
he
can't find out why. I have a 61 New Port that I drive as a daily driver
that
does the same thing but, not nearly that bad. Anyone out there have the
answer as to what might be the cause???? Gary Holm in wet and wild So.
