I would recommend using commercial glass polish like that used by glass
companies and auto window repair people. You can use a drill with a
buffing pad to ease the labor that is required. The commercial stuff
won't leave a haze of fine scratches that others might. Some significant
scratch damage such as that from a broken wiper can be eliminated with it
also.
I feel that comet is too aggressive to use with foam buffing pad. Bon
Ami is probably okay.
I suspect that you will want to do the entire window and others because
they absolutely sparkle when completed.
