Hi Pete:
First of all, CONGRATULATIONS to you and Anne!! Carol and I look forward to
seeing you both in Asheville.
I am sure someone with more knowledge than I will answer your question in
greater detail. In a nutshell, Durham was a custom body manufacurer---quite
prominent in the 30's. Many of the classics had bodies by Durham. I don't
know if there was any special relationship with Chrysler such as Fleetwood had
with Cadillac. The Durham 300B (there is a 300C too) seems to be just a mild
custom. I am kind of surprised it didn't go for more, though. I definately
didn't think the side trim removal improved its looks at all. Exner knows
best!!!!!
300ly, Gil

Among the cars sold at B-J was a 1956 300-B Durham, which sold for
$28,080.00. Can someone tell me what the "Durham" signifies???
