[Chrysler300] 1959 300e hood pads

HI ALL, I CAN'T SEEM TO GET A DEFINITE ANSWER, TO WHETHER 300Es HAD HOOD 
PADS. I SEE, IN THE 300E SPECS BY CHRYSLER, IT LISTS: UNDERCOATING & HOOD 
INSULATION PAD. ON THIS CAR THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE OF A HOOD PAD. COULD THEY HAVE BEEN 
OMITTED ON THE VERY EARLY CARS? THANX, STEVE ESTOK, P.G., FL
