[Chrysler300] 55-56 Power Brake Booster?

Whilst shopping ebay, I came across a power brake booster at:

Trying to be helpful, I sent the seller a note that it did not look like 
a '55 booster to me.  He sent the following response:  Hi, This unit was 
removed from a 55 Imperial, And I know 56 units look the same..but they 
also used a bellows type that looks totally different..however ether one 
can be used..thanks Mike

For my edification, were there different-type boosters on various 
DeSotos, Chryslers and Imperials in 1955?  I got the impression they 
were all the same and a one-year Kelsey-Hayes experiment.
