I met this guy at the Palos Verdes Concours in Sept, 2004, when he damaged
the bumper trying to negotiate a tight turn on a golf cart path.  He was not
happy.  He was really pissed when Big Yellow took the trophy and he had to
settle for second place.  Considering he brought 2 cars (the other was a D
convertible, both looked very nice),  his mechanic and detailer to the
Concours, the victory was especially sweet.  By the way, I have never seen
anyone smoke so much - both cars reeked!

There is a black 300D h/top for sale on ebay, I just happened to notice that
the data plate was on the front cowl/upper firewall rather than the "normal"
radiator support. Thought it may be worth anyone serious about purchasing
the car to check it out thoroughly first. Or did some D's have the tag here?
