Hi Mike, If my memory serves me correctly, I got as high as 16 mpg
highway (but usually around 14 mpg) during the mid 1960's with the H
hardtop that I had then. City mileage was around 9 mpg or lower because
I couldn't keep my foot out of it!    Doug Warrener
