[Chrysler300] 1962 Heater Control Valve

Ugh!!!

For what seems like the hundreth time, the heater control valve is leaking in our 1962 300.
I have had it rebuilt over & over.
Anyone know of a true fix for these factory units?
I'm even up for a non-factory suggestion at this point!
