Not sure if it's a Brand Name or a style, but I have always been delighted with "California Turbos". Both throaty at idle and on the pull and mildly barky on decel. I've had them on my 383, 413 and 440's . As an aside, on my Li'l Red Express, I have duals which go thru a gutted Cat into a muffler which is 12" long with dual outlets. The pipes then go muffler-less to Chrome extensions on the back. They rumble on Ac-cell. with real barking on De-cell in a lower gear!! Growing up with this stuff in the 50's and having lost my license with a Muffler conviction (a Moving Violation then), I love those sounds.
