Hi Marty,
Let's see if I can answer your question as to how to sell the 300J.
Hopefully, you will not part it out - 300J's are just too rare for that .
Here are some avenues that are open to you :
1/ let the entire membership know that you have a 300J for sale. Compose an
ad, describing the car, its condition, how complete it is, and an asking
price. PLEASE INCLUDE THE VIN NUMBER . Be as descriptive as you want - the
more info the better ! Post this ad on the listserver, and I will make sure
that our Editors pick it up and also run it in the next club news issues.
Cost = $0 . Will reach our 1000 members only.
2/ We will also post this ad on the Club's Web site, in the classified
section. If you have any pictures, please e-mail them to me, together with
the information required above. Please do not forget to include contact
information ! Cost = $0 . Will be viewed by anyone who cares to look at
our Web site classifieds.
3/ If the car does not sell in a few weeks, then consider placing it on
ebay. Cost : about $40 to list it, and another $40 if it sells. Will be
viewed by many !
4/ Also consider an ad in Hemmings. Cost : about $15 bucks depending on
length of text...
Sincerely,
John Hertog
Sag Harbor NY
