Hi all:

Something of interest along the lines of this subject is an oddity on my 
300F, assembled on 6/27/60.

On the right rear quarter panel hidden beneath the bumper is a stamped 
mounting area which I have only seen on G's.  On the F, the bumper is mounted to the 
quarter panel with a small strap between the bumper and a hole in the quarter 
panel, not this stamped area.  Whereas the G has the strap mounted between 
the bumper and this stamping.  I find no evidence of this portion of the right 
rear quarter panel being replaced.  I wonder why this stamping is there.  It is 
only on the right rear quarter panel.
