Unzip it. Otherwise you will have a crease & mark where it folds. Be careful zipping it closed. Place a block of wood or other similar object between the top of the windshield and the top header when you are putting up the top to keep the top from closing all the way. This will leave slack in the rear window area so you can zip it without tension being on the zipper area. Carefully zip the window closed, remove the block & close the top all the way. If there's trension on the zipper, it's easy to strip it. Expensive to fix. I've been there.

of information happily given .I have a question also .I have a 300 G 
convertible  and wonder if when, I put the top down, should I unzip the rear window as  
they recommend in the owners manual , or keep it zipped ? Thanks .Bob Ryan  .
