[Chrysler300] Halogen Headlights

I had a busted headlight on our 1962 300.

I ran into a chain parts store and bought a headlight, though realized that
it is a halogen bulb after purchasing it.

Is it bad to run a halogen bulb?

Should I make an effort to go purchase a normal bulb instead?
