RE: [Chrysler300] blue drinks and driving 300's

The recent BJ results will hopefully inspire all of us to see just how many of these "priceless" letter cars we can amass at events in this 50th anniversary year. I'm thinking of the meet in Michigan, All Chrysler Nationals at Carlisle, and Hildene for starters.
Let's see how many of these "future Duesenbergs" we can get in one place during 2005.
John

Nicely said, John. I suppose there was a time that many Duesenberg owners
felt the same way-----way back when. While these two 300Gs aren't destined to
be driven---in the true sense of the word----they still will provide, I hope,
some enjoyment for others and their owners whether it be in a museum setting,
or in a concours event. As was discussed in this forum sometime back, there is
more than one way to enjoy one's 300! Of course, now everyone's marginal
"driver" just became a potential pot of gold. Ha.
A couple years ago, I attended a meet with Mike Meyer in Ormond Beach, FL
with our two "H" converts. (I tried to hide mine behind his!!) At any rate, what
should drive in but a 1932 Duesenberg dual cowl phaeton! Wow! A quick check
on its right side revealed the exhaust pipes of an SJ!!! Later, I found out
the owner DROVE the beast right up I-95 to get to the show! This was a very
nice car, having been a participant in the Pebble Beach Concours. When the
show was over, the owner just got back in, cranked it up, and headed back to I-95
and home. There was a real aficianado. I loved it. 300ly, Gil
