Keep in mind that these cars are easily traceable.  They are not commodities
per se, and any stolen car offered for sale would have it's VIN checked.
These aren't the kind of cars that are stolen for resale, maybe parted out,
but the value is lost then, and I think there are easier targets for
thieves.

Having said that, I've had a concealed ignition kill switch on my car for
years that I do use if the car is parked in a public area.
