It is not just ebay either. A couple of weeks ago, I received a message "from" C2it, which is CitiBank's equivalent of paypal, advising that someone wanted to send me $217.00 Naturally, that couldn't be done unless I first registered with C2it, including giving them my social security number, bank account numbers, etc. All of that would make it incredibly easily to do an identity theft. It looked very official with impressive graphics including the CitiBank logo, etc. No way!! If it sounds too good, it probably is. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Johan" <JOHAN.300@xxxx> To: <Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, September 26, 2003 2:01 PM Subject: [Chrysler300] Ebay scams > Hello over there. > > I have received a scam mail a couple of times the last two, three weeks. > It looks just like it comes from Ebay, asking for passwords and creditcard nr's > and stuff.
