Ahem.....finned Daimlers !!

Patrick.....Hmmmmm, yes ! I've seen a Daimler. It even had fins. In fact, I owned not one, but two Daimler SP 250's back in the mid '70's. One was a 1960, and the other, with 18,000 miles on it was a '63.
It even had a hemi V8 engine, cast block with alloy heads. The capacity was 2 1/2 litres, or 155 cubic inches.... 
4 speed floor shift, weighed just over a ton, top speed 125 mph. 0-60 mph in 8.8 secs.....and it could stop too.....with 4 wheel disc brakes from the factory as standard stuff.
When I was on my OE in England in '63-64, I'd see these 2 door sports cars in use as motorway cop cars.
Any search engine will find it. Type in Daimler SP250.
But....this was the Brit Daimler....not from Germany.
