Re: [Chrysler300] 300M Special & Horsepower

If I may, I would like to attempt to clarify my position on this matter.

I am by no means suggesting the "M" is not a fine automobile. Having had the priviledge of test driving one recently, and having owned a couple-year-old 300G back in the '60s, I can honestly say there is really no comparison when it comes to handling and smoothness and quietness of ride and all the other amenities that have become important to new-car buyers over the past 40 years.

All I was addressing with my rant concerning my present "G" compared to the "M", is straight-line acceleration and nothing else. Honestly, the only thing my "G" can do better than the "M" besides out accelerate it, is garner a lot of enthusiastic thumbs up from appreciative bystanders and other drivers. Nobody honked and waved at me while I was driving the "M" around town.

Just felt like I needed to set the record straight where I was coming from on this.

Hi Tom,

Really enjoyed your message which compared the different eras of cars that
you have owned (or still do). Excellent perspective on the changes that
have taken place over the years.
