Re: [Chrysler300] 300C/D Patrol Cars

Hi all,
361's were available through the '66 model year..even saw some in
Chargers that year. The '62 model year was more or less the last hurrah for
an HP version,at least having a 4bbl anyway, being supplanted by the 383 as
mentioned by another member. 1962 was a cool year, they offered the 4 BBL
version, and also a limitied 2X4BBLs in I guess a dealer installed package (
in the "B"body only it seems)...NHRA supposedly recognizes it and its brother
the 343hp 383. There were alot of little known packages that year...the 390hp
413 2x4 bbls (allegedly only offered in the Dodge line), which was short
lived due to the Max Wedge package released in the spring of '62. Factory
sales literature was dreadfully outdated the minute the cars were released
for sale. In the case of Plymouth, most of the performance packages were
never in print for the public to peruse...things were in a constant state of
flux it seems. Ahh, those were the days. 300ly, Dan Jenks
