Marv,
I agree with you entirely on your suggested protection method UNDER the car.
Several years ago I stored three cars in a country barn and did the same as
you suggested but used a large blue poly tarp on the floor and instead of
clamps I just criss-crossed twine to hold the plastic up the sides of the car after
putting the car cover on. Foil over the exhaust, windows open just a crack,
battery out, etc.
Lastly however, I sprinkled moth balls on the ground around the car right
next to the polytarp and ALSO rolled some down INSIDE the the tarp so they rested
under the car as well. Never put anything inside the car. Of course try to
keep anything away from the car that a varmit could climb up and jump onto the
car.
This barn had many access points for mice and squirrels and I never had one
breach of the tarp or a visitor inside any of the cars.

P.S. for Marv.....one was that original '33 Plymouth that you saw and I sold
at Carlisle in 2003!!!
