[Chrysler300] Ram Car Total Ignition Timing

Good evening,
I have noticed that my G is very sensitive to timing changes. I didn't
like the way it ran so much at the factory setting (5 degrees initial)
so I am playing with it. Currently, it is at 9 degrees initial and about
29 degrees total. It seems to "spike" on the freeway under heavy
acceleration.
The car has a 440 6 pack cam, the balancer has not slipped, I have only
run 94 octane and I used thick FelPro head gaskets.
Just curious as to your experinces, other Mopar big blocks I have had
seemed to like more timing than this.
Best regards,
Richard Osborne
