[Chrysler300] "Flocking" a Rubber Weatherstrip

Hi Group,
Has anyone tried to "re-flock" a rubber weatherstrip such as the one on the
forward verticle edge on the rear quarter window on a '55-'56 300 or any other
Chrysler two door? You know , the black fuzzy feel surface over the rubber
that eventually wears off, (not whiskers as on the belt mouldings.

Is there something out there in a "can" (preferably a spray can) that will
look original and hold up reasonably well??

I already called a guy advertizing such a service in Hemming's but he seemed
really shaky and hesitant to doing whatever he did over true rubber. He said
he could experiment on one! ......... Wrong! Probably would use some process
that would cause a possible meltdown.

Thanks,
John Cote
