John and all, Putting the clock issue aside I NEVER leave a battery connected on my collector cars even overnight. I keep six cars in my garage, four of them being collector cars. They usually have pretty close to full fuel tanks and I don't want to experience a fire due to some short or freak accident. Can you imagine what 6 X 20 gallons of fuel could do in a confined area. Our remaining cars are kept at my business under the same disconnect format. I don't want to get a call or arrive to find the building burned down to the ground. Possibly you think this might be an over reaction, but I'd rather take the few seconds to disconnect that deal with the potential.
