I'm getting grease inside the front brake assembly of my 300D. Two questions. First, can the support plate assembly be removed from the hub without first removing the brake shoes? The shop manual shows the shoes being removed first, but it isn't obvious to me that this is really necessary. Secondly, is there some sort of seal on the brake drum (or anywhere in the brake assembly) that prevents the grease from getting into the brake assembly? Thanks for your help.
