My sentiments precisely...We spend the money making show worthy vehicles, we 
follow all of the rules for time and display and we assume all of the risk to 
our cars from spectator damage and theft...then they ask us to pay an 
admission fee.    Well I participate only selectively and never at any show where 
alcohol is allowed or provided.  I did a benefit show for a hospital once and they 
served champagne.  After a few hours I had to pull drunk hospital staff out 
of my 39 Chrysler.  After a few bad words that the cars were for their 
pleasure, my wife and I got in and drove right out of the display area.....A shame 
since the Glen Miller orchestra was playing beautifully for the benefit but 
alcohol and cars never mix.
